Rhodamine-Labeled Human MSCs
These are native cord-blood derived human MSCs labeled with an aliphatic moiety that is conjugated with rhodamine resulting in fluorescent MSCs (Excitation: 550 nm; Excitation: 560-580 nm). Fluorescence is associated with the cell membrane in growing cells.
They are expandable through at least three passages with slightly reduced growth rates compared to native MSCs. They may be differentiated into chondrocytes, adipocytes and osteoblasts under appropriate culture conditions at any time during expansion . They exhibit strong transfer of fluorescein label to chondrocytes (See Figure on the left) and to osteoblasts but not to adipocytes (data not shown). They are useful in tracking studies and especially in-vivo imaging of chondrogenesis and osteogenesis, including dual label experiments in conjunction with catalog number SC00A2. They are provided as >500,000 cryopreserved cells.
This product requires shipment on dry ice and immediate transfer to liquid nitrogen storage or culture.
